Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how NyxMarket ("NyxMarket", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you visit https://nyx-market.com, browse our catalogue, create an account, buy or download a digital product, or open a seller store (the "Service"). NyxMarket is a marketplace: products are offered both by us and by independent creators ("Sellers"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
We only collect what we need to run the marketplace and deliver products:
- Account details - your email address, your name, and (if you sign in with Google) your profile image. When you create an account we also record the date you accepted our Terms of Use.
- Order information - your email, the products you purchase, the amount paid, currency, and the transaction reference from our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number - that is handled entirely by Stripe.
- Seller information - if you open a store: your store name, description, country, portfolio link, and what you plan to sell. Your bank and identity details are collected directly by Stripe through Stripe Connect onboarding - they never pass through or get stored on NyxMarket.
- Seller sales data - for each sale of your product we record the amounts involved (price, commission, fees, your net share) and the Stripe transfer reference, so your earnings are traceable.
- Uploaded files - files Sellers upload are stored privately and are automatically scanned for security before publication.
- Free-download details - when you claim a free product, we record your email address and which product you downloaded so we can deliver it and prevent abuse.
- Verification codes - temporary one-time codes sent to your email to confirm a free download; these expire shortly after they are issued.
- Notifications - we keep the in-app notifications we send you (e.g. "your product was approved", "you made a sale") so you can review them.
- Usage & device data - pages visited, referring site, browser/user-agent, IP address, and an approximate country, used for security and basic analytics.
- Cookies - a single secure cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
2. How we use your information
- To process payments, deliver purchased products, and pay Sellers their share of each sale.
- To create and secure your account, seller store, and admin access.
- To run the automated security check on uploaded product files and to moderate the marketplace.
- To send you transactional messages, such as download links, receipts, sale notifications, and moderation results.
- To display Seller profiles publicly (store name, avatar, bio, products) - this is part of being a Seller.
- To understand how the marketplace is used and to improve it.
- To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or security issues.
- To comply with our legal obligations.
3. Legal bases (EEA/UK users)
Where the GDPR applies, we process your data to perform our contract with you (delivering products you order, paying out your sales), based on our legitimate interests (securing and improving the Service, moderating content), based on your consent where required, and to meet our legal obligations.
4. Service providers we share data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with trusted providers that help us operate the Service, and only as needed:
- Stripe - payment processing and, for Sellers, payout accounts via Stripe Connect. For the identity and bank details collected during Connect onboarding, Stripe acts as its own data controller under the Stripe Privacy Policy.
- Supabase - database and secure file storage.
- Vercel - application hosting and delivery.
- Google - optional "Sign in with Google" authentication.
- Resend - sending transactional emails such as verification codes, receipts, and sale notifications.
Each provider processes data under its own privacy terms and applicable agreements with us.
5. Data retention
We keep order, earning, and account records for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, resolve disputes, and meet legal, accounting, or tax requirements. Verification codes are deleted shortly after they expire. You can request deletion of your data at any time (see section 7).
6. Security
Paid files are stored in private storage and delivered only through short-lived, signed download links. Seller uploads pass an automated security check before publication. Payments and payouts are handled by Stripe over encrypted connections. While no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, we take reasonable measures to protect your data.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@nyx-market.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
8. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. International transfers
Our providers may process data in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows when it was last revised, and material changes will be reflected on this page.
